A quality accommodation where you will receive a warm welcome in their listed house amidst the beamed architecture of this lovely Suffolk village. The twin and two double rooms, with their own private facilities are a good size, well equipped and very pleasant.
You may like to relax in the garden or guest lounge with a tray of tea on arrival. The house once formed part of the Melford Estate (now NT) and is placed very conveniently for visits to Bury St. Edmunds, Cambridge, Colchester, Ipswich or Norwich. Beth Chatto and Bressingham Gardens are within driving distance for a day out and the Suffolk coast offers the traveller sightseeing, walking and wildlife.
Long Melford has a varied selection of shops, eating houses and antique centres to explore. The fine Church of Holy Trinity stands by the green, near to Melford Hall and Kentwell Hall and is certainly worth a visit. Kersey is said to be one of the most beautiful villages in England - this may be reached by passing through Lavenham and Monks Eleigh. Clare and Cavendish, to the West of Melford are also worth seeing. |
